Health & Safety Competent Person across Devon and the South-West

The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) states that as an employer, you must appoint a ‘Competent Person’ to help you meet your health and safety duties.

A competent person is someone who has sufficient training and experience or knowledge and other qualities that allow them to assist you properly.  You could train one of your team, however sending them on a training course can be costly and time consuming, not to mention frustrating when that person leaves your employment, and completing a training course in itself does not make someone competent.

For a competitive annual fee I can be registered as your Competent Person and you will receive the following benefits;

  • Meeting your legal obligations to The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • You will receive a certificate of engagement, valid for one year, which you can display in your workplace and use to assist you in job tenders and if you are looking to gain accreditations, such as CHAS, EXOR or Safe Contractor for example.
  • You will have access to a fully qualified Health and Safety Consultant by email and telephone to answer and advise on health and safety issues that you come across in your working day.
  • You will have 3 hours of remote consultancy time, which can be used to deliver advice and guidance only. If you need specific documents please give me a call to discuss these requirements.
  • The engagement will last for 12 months, with no obligation to continue thereafter or notices required to terminate the agreement.
