I have over 20 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Consultant providing help, expertise and support to a wide range of businesses in the South Devon area. For 6 of these years I was also employed on a part-time basis by one of my former clients as the Health & Safety Manager of their manufacturing site, which I carried out alongside my consultancy business.
I have worked with multiple companies ranging from manufacturing sites to warehouses, from offices to companies in the service industry and from golf clubs to sports clubs to name a few, so I am confident I can provide you with the expertise you require for your business, whatever it may be.
My services range from the development and introduction of a full health and safety system to being held on a retained service facilitating the position of ‘Competent Person’ and assisting annually for accreditation purposes.
I am experienced at working with all levels in a business, from Managing Directors, middle management to employees on the shop floor.
Gary is fully qualified as a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the highest professional standard, recognised internationally, awarded by the world’s most prestigious body for health and safety practitioners.
Gary is a Member of the IOSH Registered Safety Practitioners.
He also holds the NEBOSH Fire Safety Risk Management and Fire Safety and Risk Practical Application certificates and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, enabling him to competently carry out fire risk assessments in Devon and throughout the UK.
Gary obtained the Certificate in Further Education Teaching in 2004, which, together with his health and safety qualifications, allows him to teach the full spectrum of safety-related courses ranging from general Health & Safety to COSHH Awareness to Manual Handling and IOSH Managing Safely to the NEBOSH General Certificate.
As a qualified First Aid Trainer and Assessor for over 20 years, Gary is qualified to teach the full First Aid at Work Course as well as Emergency First Aid and Airway Management.
